Allocating capital is how the world decides what matters. d/acc offers principles for what deserves support - but how do we build the funding engine around it?

Isla - founder of Zuitzerland shares how they plan to build a permanent open-source oriented village and society sandbox in Switzerland to accelerate d/acc aligned builders.

Allocating capital is how the world decides what matters. d/acc offers principles for what deserves support — but how do we build the funding engine around it? Our hypothesis: physical hubs can act as legitimacy concentrators in ways online systems can’t, anchoring sustainable funding for open-source and d/acc builders.

Zuitzerland is our prototype: a physical hub for d/acc tech, an accelerator for open source, and a permanent web3-enabled village in Switzerland. It tests how:

legitimacy can be staked through lived interaction,
hubs can function as credibility-driven engines of capital formation,
network effects similar to those of Silicon Valley can be bootstrapped in new contexts.

Isla Munro is the founder of Zuitzerland, a prototype permanent hub for decentralized acceleration (d/acc) and open-source builders in Switzerland. Zuitzerland combines cooperative traditions, Ethereum’s ethos of credible neutrality, and accelerator dynamics to experiment with new forms of capital formation and legitimacy in Web3.

She has previously worked in early-stage VC and grants, backing technology companies and advising on governance and funding models for DAOs and web3 foundations.
